چکیده
Background: Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is a well-established mode of respiratory support in newborns. Bubble CPAP (bCPAP) safe, efficacious and easy to use preterm term neonates with mild moderate distress.
Objectives: To find out the outcome bCPAP neonate Methods: This cross sectional study was conducted over 6 months Bangladesh Shishu Hospital & Institute. Total 108 were enrolled who presented distress. Neonate type II failure, congenital heart disease structural malformations lung GI tract causing distress at birth needed intubatuin excluded. Detailed information obtained each case. Thorough clinical examinations done. Relevant investigation reports collected. All recorded. Statistical analysis done by using SPSS version 23.
Results: In this mean age found 43.3±43.1 hours range from 2 204 hours. Majority 62(57.4%) patients male female ratio 1.3:1. Two third (66.7%) had weight ³2500 gm, 14(12.9%) <1499 gm 22(20.4%) 1500-2499 gm. (59.3%) belonged gestational between 37-41 wks, followed 27(25%) 33-36 wks 17(15.7%) 28-32 wks. Among cases 18(16.7%) RDS, PNA, 14(13%) PPHN, 9(4.3%) MAS, 6(5.6%) TTN, 13(12%) Pneumonia, 15(13.9%) 10(9.3%) Sepsis 5(4.6%) Laryngomalacia. put on bCPAP, 85(78.7%) weaned 23 (21.3%) failed mechanical ventilation. Out 85 hundred percent survived got discharge. 16(69.6%) died 7 (30.4%) discharge.
Conclusion: It concluded that an effective way management due various causes. Patients more final outcome.

Comparison of the Therapeutic Effects of Bubble CPAP and Ventilator CPAP on Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Premature Neonates
Background: Respiratory distress syndrome is one of the main complications associated with low birth weight, and a main cause of mortality in premature neonates. The present study aimed to compare the efficacy of ventilator continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) and bubble CPAP in the treatment of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in premature neonates. Methods: This randomized controlled...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy and safety of nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP) using devices with variable flow or bubble continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) regarding CPAP failure, presence of air leaks, total CPAP and oxygen time, and length of intensive care unit and hospital stay in neonates with moderate respiratory distress (RD) and birth weight (BW) ≥ 1,500 g. ...

OBJECTIVES To ascertain the immediate outcome of preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) on Bubble CPAP and identify risk factors associated with its failure. STUDY DESIGN Prospective analytical study. SUBJECTS Inborn preterm infants (gestation 28 to 34 weeks) admitted to the NICU with respiratory distress and chest X ray suggestive of RDS. INTERVENTION Bubble CPAP with b...
متن کاملBubble–CPAP vs. Ventilatory–CPAP in Preterm Infants with Respiratory Distress
OBJECTIVE Application of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) in neonate with respiratory distress is associated with reduction of respiratory failure, reduced complications and mortality. Bubble CPAP (B-CPAP) and ventilator-derived CPAP (V-CPAP) are two most popular CPAP modes. We aimed to determine whether B-CPAP and V-CPAP would have different survival rate and possible complications. ...

In preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), the application of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is associated with benefits in terms of reduced respiratory failure and reduced mortality. We conducted this prospective study to evaluate the effectiveness of bubble-CPAP as primary mode of respiratory support. Bubble CPAP was found to be safe and effective means of treati...
